About Zhu Ye Qing tea:
Zhu Ye Qing tea is from Emei mountain, Sichuan province of China. Mt. Emei is one of the four holy mountains of Buddhism in China. There are plenty of historical sites, and a lot of precious cultural relics on tbe mountain, each of which has its own outstanding characters. Mt. Emei is hence featured by "Kingdom of Plants"," Paradise of Animals"," Geological Museum". This great mountain was embodied as World Heritage of nature and culture by UNESCO in 1996. Absorbing the immortal mountain's nimbus, gathering the amrita of clouds, through thousands of years, the teas of Emei Mountain are always favored by famous scholars for its pure and mellow, light and refined extraordinary meaning and interest. Zhu Ye Qing, literally means bamboo green, is becoming one of the most popular green tea in recent years. It is named by Chen Yi, the Foreign Minister of China at that time, went to Emei Mountain to conduct the inspection, and full of his praise went toward the tea when he played chess and drank tea with the old monk Jue Kong in Wannian Temple, he asked, "What kind of tea is this?" The old monk answered, "That tea is the special product of Emei Mountain, without a name yet.", and asked Marshal Chen Yi to name the tea. Marshal Chen Yi looked carefully into the tea in cup, the tea water was clear and leaves were green, full of life, so he said heart-felt, "It's really like the tender bamboo leaf, we can just call it zhu ye qing" (literally Green Bamboo Leaf). Since then, the repute of Zhuyeqing has been spread far and wide, not only for its legendary name, but also its mellow, sweet tea taste.

How to Brew Zhu Ye Qing Green Tea:
1. Recommended glass cup to view tea buds displaying in the cup.
2. Glass cup; 2-3 grams per time (based on personal taste);
3. The first infusion is 85-90C degree or 185-194F for about 2-3 minutes;
4. The second is about 3-4 minutes.

产地四川峨眉山，其成品茶长短大小均匀，扁平直滑。全由芽头制成，色泽鲜亮；香气高爽，汤色橙黄，滋味甘醇。虽久置而其味不变。冲泡时可从明亮的杏黄色茶汤中看到根根银针直立向上，几番飞舞之后，团聚一起立于杯底。其采制要求很高，比如采摘茶叶的时间只能在清明节前后7-10天内，还规定了几种情况下不能采摘，即雨天、风霜天、虫伤、细瘦、弯曲、空心、茶芽开口、不合尺寸等。

因芽叶细嫩，以80度左右水温冲泡为宜，不宜用沸水冲泡！

此茶产于四川省峨眉山市及其周边地区，属于炒青绿茶，其清醇、淡雅的风格有口皆碑。峨眉山山腰的万年寺、清音阁、白龙洞、黑水寺，这里空气湿润，云雾缭绕，翠竹茂密，一年四季平均气温适合茶叶的生长。春季是采摘的好时节，春季新发出的嫩芽，嫩芽肥厚含有富厚的营养成分，在清明节前夕峨眉山的茶农开始采摘新茶，春茶以清明，谷雨前采摘的茶叶为好，具有较高的饮用价值。

芽头茁壮，紧实而挺直，茶芽大小长短均匀，扁平直滑，饮用时，将干茶放入玻璃杯内，以80度左右水冲泡，这时茶叶在杯中一根根垂直立起，踊跃上冲，悬空竖立，继而上下游动，然后徐下沉，簇立杯底。
